So let's plan something fun. Looks like Andy is already planning on it with some river rafting.
i know you are all busy, and will be working, etc., so you may not be able to come to some of the things going on that week.
so here's the deal, i'm going to throw out some things i want to do. you need to say whether or not you can come. i'm not expecting everyone to be be able to do everything, so just tell us what you want to do/can do.

1- river rafting down Weber river.
2- water fight at Kamas.
3- camping for a few days, somewhere close, maybe mirror lake we did a few years ago.
4- Hogle zoo
5- four-wheeling
6- mountain biking
7- swimming either in Kamas, or in Lehi, (or if there is a place Morgan that i don't know of).
8- bon fire in the backyard
9- picnic at the park with the nieces and nephews
10- birthday party for your's truly, (i do expect all of you to be at this, this one is non-negotiable), so we'll plan around schedules for this to find a time it works for everyone. maybe that first sunday i'm there, any objections to that day?

Summer Trip

Actually this would be a pretty simple trip. A half day on the Weber river between Kamas and Morgan (a little closer to Morgan). It looks really mild. I think it would be closer to 2 or 3 hours than a true half-day. Check out the website and tell me what you think. I was thinking it would be fun for when Kate is here. It's pretty cheap and any and all grandkids would be free (six and under). I think it's only class II and maybe III (probably not by late July) so really mild.

http://www.dinoadv.com/ There's another company out of Park City that is $35 for adults, $20 for kids. This one (Dinosaur Expeditions) is $38 for adults and free for kids or $49 if you want lunch. It ends at Taggarts which is easily the best restaurant in Morgan County.

The newest Alpaca

Here are a few pics of the new cria born today. We think she was born about 3pm or so - just before we got home from the airport dropping off Kate. In the lower right of this one you get a glimpse of the placenta. It was really big and pretty gross.


Since it was rainy Jim picked her up and took her to the barn to dry off and stay warm.

This happenned a few times to Jim, a couple to MaryJane and once to Jacob, Sarah and the neighbor. Socks was giving little 'kisses' as we told Sarah. I think she got Jim and MJ pretty good a couple times. She's biting Jim on the head. This one he just about started cussing like a rancher. Wait, he is a rancher!



I think she weighs 18.5 lbs and is nursing and walking very well. Wouldn't that be great if our kids could walk around within an hour? I guess it did happen on that 'Baby geniuses' show. Was that a true story? Anyway, as far as I know this little girl doesn't have a name yet. How about Bodor or Bocor in honor of the poor little kitties?

Cute Samany got caught getting into all of the water bottles. I can't believe how fast of a mover she is, she is very good at entertaining herself. She is growing up way to fast.

Okay everybody needs to step it up. Katie, and Adam you both need to post more. We never get to see you guys. And this is the best way to keep in touch. We need to see Lindsey's belly and see how it is growing. So everyone needs to put in a little effort to make this blog work, or Andy is going to delete it. And Jim and Maryjane learn how to do this. We never hear from both of you.

Anyways, here are some of the hundreds of cute pictures I have been taking. I am almost done with my class and have loved it thus far. I am taking her 102 class in June, and then her photoshop class later. Man I am just going to get better and better.

P.s. My teacher said Olivia's eyes were unreal. Aren't they so beautiful, Why didn't I get that lucky.

New Babies...

Both my cute sisters had their babies this last weekend. Jade had a cute little boy, Bremen (pronounced Bray-men), on Saturday. After being in labor for 36 hours he finally arrived with the biggest cone head I had ever seen, but it went down really fast. He weighed a whopping 9 Lbs. 11 oz. No wonder she had such a hard labor, poor thing. Jade is doing good and isn't he just so cute!

Jill had to have an emergency c-section on Sunday, because of her Pre-eclampsia at 34 weeks. Mylee was born prematurely weighing just 3 lbs. 12 oz. She is such a strong little girl. She has been breathing on her own from day 1 and is know eating and sucking a binki. Jill is doing okay she still has high blood pressure, but hopefully that will go away in a couple weeks. They think Mylee will get to go home in a couple weeks.

New House

Adam In Utah

Hello Team Burton.

I will be in Utah April 15th to April 20th. I pick up Madalin Friday at 6am and have her until Sunday at 5pm. I want to go swimming noon, Saturday at the Rec center. So if you're not picking black b00gars then you should come.

Rockwoods going to Southern Utah

We're going camping in Southern Utah the 17th to the 19th of April near Calf Creek. Scott Walton's family and maybe my brother Nate's family is going with us. It's going to be a regular campout in tents. If that sounds like something anyone else wants to do let me know.

Forget about the spring trip

After tonight's discussion it's pretty clear that there's not enough common ground to make a trip like this worthwhile for everyone. So we're just going to go camping on our own and not worry about trying to make it work for everybody. We're not mad at anyone so don't take it personal. We'll let you know when we're going if anybody else wants to come along.
