I'm ready for some turkey!

Turkey time

Here's a little preview of what's to come on Thanksgiving turkeywise:

I'm going to season one with Tony Chachere's Cajun Creole Seasoning for the adventurous among us. I'll be smoking them with apple wood. The 'unseasoned' turkey probably won't be this dark-skinned. Both turkeys are about 12.5 lbs. I'm going to season the Jennie-O, and not season the Butterball. So don't complain about me seasoning one cause the Butterball costs 1 1/2 times as much. The only downside is that we won't be able to use the drippings for gravy so we'll just use some turkey stock to make it. Look at it this way: no straining!

Nauvoo road trip

Here are some photos from my trip to Nauvoo. Good stuff. We walked around the historic downtown and saw all the old shops. We saw the BYU ballroom team perform, and also went to Carthage Jail. This was the first time I got to use my tent. Pretty sweet set-up huh?

Stillwater

Over Memorial Day weekend a few of my friends and myself decided to go Stillwater. It's a town on the border of MN and WI. everyone says it's really pretty, so we went to check it out.

There was a random staircase at the end of Main St. Thinking the stairs led to something amazing, we made the trek up only to find ourselves in a "No Trespassing" neighborhood.

We found a park in the middle of the city. It was a way cool park named, Teddy Bear park.




The last tourist spot of the day. The Stillwater Courthouse, where they have a Memorial dedicated to war veteran's. Fitting for the weekend.

Who knew Andy could model?

I found this amazing picture of Andy and had to post it. Hopefully some modelling scouts will come across this blog and see Andy displaying his hidden talent. He'll be on the cover of GQ in no time!

My easter festivities

Had an easter egg hunt with some friends in the ward. One of them was the easter bunny at the mall, so we talked him into dressing up for us so we could take pictures with him. I'm sure my easter sunday was way better than your's. ;)
